Cabo Experience Tours acts as a booking agent for private yacht and sportfishing charters operated by licensed, independent captains and vessel owners departing from Marina Cabo San Lucas. By requesting and confirming a reservation you agree to the policies below.
1. How reservations work
- Submit a request through our website or WhatsApp. No payment is required to request a quote.
- We confirm availability, vessel and final price in writing (WhatsApp or email).
- A 30% deposit secures your date. We send a secure PayPal payment link. Your reservation is confirmed only once the deposit is received and you receive our written confirmation.
- The remaining 70% balance is paid on the day of your charter, before departure, directly on board. Accepted payment methods for the balance are confirmed with your booking.
- Prices are in US dollars per private charter unless stated otherwise. Gratuity for the crew is not included (15–20% is customary).
2. The deposit is non-refundable
The 30% deposit blocks your date, your vessel and your crew exclusively for you — the operator turns away other guests for that time slot. For this reason the deposit is non-refundable once your booking is confirmed.

Cancellations must be sent in writing by WhatsApp or email. Please confirm your date carefully before paying the deposit.
3. Weather, sea conditions and port closures
- Safety comes first. If the Port Captain closes the port or the captain determines conditions are unsafe, your deposit is not lost: it is kept as a credit and you choose a new date at no extra cost within 12 months.
- Cloudy skies, light rain, fish activity or wildlife sightings are not grounds for cancellation.
- If a charter must return early for safety reasons, we will offer a credit for the unused time.
4. Changes and cancellations by the operator
If the vessel becomes unavailable for mechanical or operational reasons, we will offer a comparable vessel or a new date. If we cannot offer either, your deposit is refunded in full.
5. Day of your charter
- Please arrive at the marina 15–20 minutes before departure. We send the exact dock and meeting point with your confirmation.
- Charter time starts at the scheduled departure time. Late arrivals do not extend the charter.
- Guest capacity per vessel is limited by law and cannot be exceeded. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
- The captain has final authority on route, safety and on-board conduct, and may end a charter without refund in case of unsafe or illegal behavior.
- Responsible drinking is expected. Illegal substances are not allowed on board.
6. Sportfishing
- Every angler on board requires a Mexican fishing license. We can arrange licenses when you book.
- Catch-and-release is encouraged for billfish such as marlin and sailfish. Other species may be kept within legal limits.
- Fishing results depend on nature and are not guaranteed.
7. Liability
Charters are operated by independent licensed operators who are responsible for vessel operation, crew and safety equipment. Guests participate at their own risk and are responsible for personal belongings. Cabo Experience Tours is not liable for events beyond its control, including weather, acts of nature or government actions.
8. Photos
Crew or photographers may take photos during your charter. Let us know if you prefer not to appear in any marketing material.
