How does booking with Cabo Experience Tours work?
Choose your experience and boat in our booking form and you will see an estimated price instantly. We confirm availability and the final price by WhatsApp or email, and we send you all the booking details.
Are the charters private?
Yes. Every charter we offer is private: the boat, captain and crew are exclusively for your group. We do not sell shared or mixed tours.
What is included in the price?
Every charter includes the vessel, captain and crew and fuel for the planned route. On the 35 and 47 ft yachts you can bring your own food and drinks or add the all-inclusive upgrade for $130 per hour (margaritas, 24 beers, spirits, guacamole, ceviche and quesadillas). On the Sunseeker 57 ft and the 97 ft superyacht, food and open bar are included (all-inclusive). See all boats and prices on our charters page.
Is the deposit refundable?
No. Your deposit blocks your date, boat and crew exclusively for you, so it is non-refundable once your booking is confirmed. Date changes are not available, so please confirm your date carefully before paying. Full details in our booking & cancellation policy.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. If the Port Captain closes the port or the captain decides conditions are unsafe, your deposit is not lost: it stays as a credit and you choose a new date at no extra cost within 12 months.
How do I pay the balance?
The balance is paid on board on the day of your charter, before departure. Accepted payment methods are confirmed with your booking.
Is gratuity included?
No. A gratuity of 15–20% for the captain and crew is customary in Cabo San Lucas and is at your discretion.
Where do we meet the boat?
All charters depart from Marina Cabo San Lucas. We send the exact dock and meeting point with your confirmation. Please arrive 15–20 minutes before departure; charter time starts at the scheduled time.
How many people can come?
It depends on the boat: from up to 8 guests on the Formula 40 ft to up to 15 on the Sea Ray 47 ft. For larger groups, ask about our luxury yachts: a Sunseeker 57 ft and a 97 ft superyacht. Tell us your group size and we will recommend the right vessel.
Can children come on board?
Yes, families are very welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Let us know the ages of the children when you book so the crew can prepare.
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes. Every angler on a sportfishing charter needs a Mexican fishing license. We can arrange the licenses with your booking.
When is the best time to go?
Cabo is a year-round destination. Humpback whales visit from roughly mid-December to mid-April, and fishing is good every month with different species. Read our month-by-month fishing guide and our yacht charter price guide.
Can you arrange hotel transportation?
Yes, transportation from your hotel to the marina can be arranged on request. Select it in the booking form or ask us on WhatsApp.
